Marketing Manager
Annual salary: £30,000+ (depending on experience)

Everyday Plastic is looking for a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager to work on a major national campaign that will take place in Spring 2022. You will be working remotely with the option to work from our office in Margate, Kent.
Everyday Plastic is a young and growing non-profit organisation focused on raising awareness around environmental issues. We educate businesses, communities, schools, families and individuals about our personal connection with the global plastic problem and encourage action at public, industry and government levels. In our short life, we’ve achieved significant reach and impact through our projects, having featured in the Guardian, Sky News, The Times, across the BBC and more.
Now we have teamed up with Greenpeace to launch the largest survey of domestic plastic waste ever to have taken place in the UK (and possibly the world!). The campaign will have a significant impact at public, business and policy level engaging tens of thousands of participating households across the country.
Working alongside the Founder and Director, you will have the opportunity to shape the success and development of the organisation throughout this important stage of growth. We are looking for someone with a wide range of experience in managing and delivering projects, with responsibilities ranging from marketing strategy to volunteer outreach, social media management to schools liaison, and data analysis to new project development.
Responsibilities include:
Marketing strategy including social media, email, paid ads, merchandise, content.
Data strategy and management, privacy policy and GDPR
Analytics, monitoring and campaign reporting
Audience development and growth
Copywriting, editing and content creation
Social media management including scheduling, strategy, engagement, content creation
Website management – working with developers, implementing changes and updating platform
Developing our communities strategy including recruitment, engagement and management
Working closely with the Greenpeace campaign team
Liaising with project and organisation partners
Working with agencies, freelancers and consultants
Identifying new project opportunities
Contributing to and developing wider organisational strategy
What we’re looking for in a successful candidate
Excellent time management and organisational skills, with a good eye for detail.
A proactive approach to work with the confidence to generate ideas and strategies
Creativity and the ability to think outside the box when it comes to campaign tactics
Composure under pressure and able to work to deadlines
Flexibility and be able to adapt to changing internal and external circumstances
Your knowledge and experience:
4+ years experience in a marketing position or similar.
Experience and expertise in online software including web development, email marketing, analytics, social media management and project management
Experience and ability to work in Photoshop or similar design software
An interest or awareness of the global plastic problem and major environmental issues would be beneficial

This role will be contracted on a 12-month fixed-term. However, we are hopeful of making the position permanent subject to further funding being secured over the next year.
